Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, DJ Danny Dan, the Beatman started deejaying and collecting records in 1973. He is one of the founding members of the The Bronx Boys Rocking Crew (TBB), which later turned into the world-renowned Rock Steady Crew, and has been a mobile deejay since 1975. He has been all around the world sharing his craft with deejay appearances in Europe, South America, and the United States. Danny Dan plays many genres of music from Funk to Soul to Latin to Disco and Hip Hop. In the late 1980's he made the transition from deejay to music producer. He worked on Biz Markie's “Just A Friend” for Warner Brother Records/Cold Chillin’ as well as on DJ Danny Dan and The Female Dream’s ‘Sneaky Beat’ and ‘The Beat To Get Hype’ on Select Records. He also worked on Doo Wop and the Bomb Squad’s “Hit em’ in the Head’ and ‘The Bounce Master’ on Bounce Squad Records. Since then, Danny Dan collaborated on the Ultimate Breaks and Beats music compilations with founder Lenny Williams. After Williams’ passing in 1993, Danny started releasing his own music compilations called Beats, Breaks, and Grooves. Soon after he used all of his expertise and knowledge of hard-to-find records to create Dusty Fingers, a 25-volume music compilation of rare funk, soul, and disco records from all over the world. DJ Danny Dan has been a guest deejay in clubs worldwide and is highly respected in the record collecting world and in the Hip Hop music industry. DJ Danny Dan The Beat Mann will be deejaying for the DUSTY FINGERS DANCE PARTY with DJ Charlie Hustle this year at the UPTOWNER stage during Center Street Daze 2016---
